Work Experience

During her studies, Nathalie Faillet gained professional experience as a recording engineer, for Radio France, Paris, at the International Piano Festival, La Roque-d'Anthéron, at Lyon National Opera, at the Regional Conservatory of Music in Lyon, France, and at Davout studio, Paris. Furthermore, for three consecutive years, she recorded various concerts of contemporary music during the Festival Musica of Strasbourg.

Between 1999 and 2004, Nathalie Faillet worked for France 3 (French television channel) as Head of Sound of the mobile recording unit. Her tasks included recordings of classical music events during the International Festival of Ambronay, the Victoires de la Musique (French music Awards), the Opéra du Rhin in Strasbourg and Opéra Garnier in Paris, as well as coverage of political and sports events.

Kahle Acoustics Reference Projects

In 2004, Nathalie Faillet joined Kahle Acoustics as an acoustician. She has been involved in a large number of projects, including the renovation and transformation of the Flemish Theatre in Brussels (KVS), the construction of the multi-media rooms (Terarken) and the acoustic installation in Hall Horta at the Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels, the renovation of the Palais des Congrès (Square) in Brussels, Belgium; the construction of the multi-purpose room La Commanderie in Dole, the construction of L'Auditorium in Bordeaux, the transformation of Le Nouveau Siècle Concert Hall in Lille, France; the construction of the Leicester Theatre and Performing Arts Centre (The Curve) in the UK; the Science and Cultural Arts Centre (SSCAC) in Suzhou, China; the renovation of the Victoria Hall and of the Alhambra in Geneva, Switzerland, and participated in the Philharmonie de Paris project.

Since 2015, Nathalie has been in charge of musical awakening, piano and choir teaching along with the management of a music conservatory in Région Grand Est, France.

Scientific Education

Nathalie Faillet studied at the University Claude Bernard in Lyon, graduating in 1995 with a degree in Physics and Acoustics. In 1998, she completed a Diploma of Recording Engineer (Tonmeister) at the Primus Centre (part of the University of Strasbourg). This degree covers all technical, musical and acoustical aspects relating to live recording and performing arts.

Musical Education

Born in 1973 in France, Nathalie Faillet received both a musical and a scientific education. After graduating in 1996 at the National Music School in Macon, France, being rewarded with the vermeil medal for Piano and the silver medal in Musical Formation, she pursued her musical studies at the National Music Academy of Strasbourg until 1998.
